These weekend protests for a few hours do nothing to change. It's just convenience. Fatigue and apathy will set in before any real change takes effect.

Here's an idea:
Permanent Blockade/Seige outside The Capitol building, The White House, and Mar a Lago.
Rotating shifts every 24 hours with 1000s of people with air horns, whistles, fog horns blasting for 24 hours a day. Sends a strong message.

What's scarier is the lack of feet in the streets. A one day protest is like spitting on a forest fire.
This fire needs a constant stream of people like what is seen in European and other countries.
Fact is, unless protests get to be a continuous 3.5% of the population, nothing will change. BBC 3.5%

I know it sounds like a praise. PM Carney is a smart man and diplomatic. We all know drump is gullible and insecure, so he can be played. Transformative can mean either way. Knowing drump, the fool takes it as a compliment.
