Would anyone be interested in hearing previously unrelased level music from the Project Dream SNES prototype by David Wise?

Two down.

Man I love the atmosphere of this level. And the Icymetric Palace is truly the Ultimate throwback. I feel the snowplow is still underutilized, but I enjoyed the little red coin race they added. Also I still love the little glow cavern!

O the stars, how they twinkle
Like a million squares
With improperly applied
Radial transparency effects
A skybox in Yooka-Replaylee showing a night sky. Stars in the sky are surrounded by semi-solid squares that were surely meant to be radially faded to create circular glowing effect

One down.

This game is amazing! Fixes nearly every issue I had with the original (and I was an apologist). Loving all of the new Pagies and the little Jiggy pieces. Also love Rextro's minigame glow-up!

5 out of 10.

I've already seen "whoa" spelled both correctly and as "woah" in Yooka-Replaylee.

a Nintendo Power subscription, and would occasionally pick up other gaming mags from the newstand, and it's when I started reading IGN every day to keep up with industry news. Going back to Rare, this era is when I truly began to understand that the Rareware logo meant quality.

Without a doubt the N64. While I had an loved both NES and SNES, it was the N64 era when I truly got into gaming and followed upcoming releases and such. Rare and Nintendo were gods of the craft, and I really started to look forward to each new release from them with the N64. It's also when I got

GoldenEye, with the story missions giving you a chance to explore and experience expanded versions of the movie's locales, as well as experiencing sequences not seen in the film (and taking some liberties as well). It expanded upon the source material in a way that felt great at the time.

Standing in the same spot and using the bottom of the rock as the camera "anchor" point

Yooka-Laylee (Xbox 2017) vs Yooka-Laylee (Switch 2017) vs Yooka-Replaylee (2025)

Never realized how different the camera acts in the original Xbox and Switch versions. It's subtle, but noticable.

(this is sarcasm and in response to nintendo:/pokemon co's stupid new patent)

Microsoft/Rare should patent the gameplay mechanic of attracting creatures by gardening and sue Nintendo/Pokémon company after Pokopia comes out.

Played through the Yooka-Replaylee demo for a second time this morning. It sucks that this whole launch is tainted, because this game truly looks and feels wonderful. The irony of corporate bullshit ruining a game about the evil of corporate bullshit.

I can't wait to play more Rextro levels

Still constantly awestruck at all the nods to the Rare era of DK in this game
Gangplank Galleon as seen in DK Bananza. It is shipwrecked off the coast of DK Isle. A once golden crocodile figurehead has become dull after years of sitting in salt water. Tattered sails with the Kremling logo are seen on a mast in the background, as a broken mast is seen in closer to the foreground Head-on view of the shipwreck with the figurehead at the front A close up of the sails with the Kremling logo - an alternate take on the skull and crossbones but with an croc head
