I took a very long time to grow up... hmmm... maybe still growing, just not 'up'. But now that I'm here, wherever 'here' is, I'm finding time to write here, there, and everywhere, almost.

I noticed that, too. I'm in the process of selling my VG US ESG and US bonds in favor of ex-US international ESG funds.

Just finished Osita Nwanevu's "The Right of the People". He'll sell a bunch, I'm sure. So impressed by David Graeber's writing and it is influencing my future fiction book.

Doctors Without Borders has suspended its medical activities in Gaza City. Their facilities are surrounded by tanks and under aerial bombardment. They urgently call for immediate protection.

A Palestinian boy, Ezz El-Din, described how Israeli forces bombed their home in Al-Shati refugee camp. In panic, he clung to his injured sister as his father pulled the family from the rubble.

We live near Crex Meadows and will soon spend an evening there observing the Sandhills return to their sanctuary at dusk. They will fly in in groups and we'll hear their wings stroking the calm air as they scan the area for places to spend the night.

"What if, instead of telling a story about how our species fell from some idyllic state of equality, we ask how we came to be trapped in such tight conceptual shackles that we can no longer even imagine the possibility of reinventing ourselves?”

I'm trying to get up to speed on Linux. I've got a laptop running Pop! and one running Qubes. A long time ago, I was okay using DOS, but my cognitive function isn't what it once was. Has anyone here taken any online Linux courses they can recommend?

The destructive nature of the current feudalized version of capitalism needs to be talked about more on social media.
"The 1% who rule the world may have turned
the pursuit of money and power into a kind of
pathological game that are ends in themselves, but
for the rest of us, having money, having an income,
being free from debt, has come to mean having the
power to pursue something other than money.

We all want to ensure our loved ones are safe, and
taken care of. We all want to live in healthy and
beautiful communities but beyond that, the things
we wish to pursue are likely to be wildly different.
What if freedom were the ability to make up our
minds about what it was we wished to pursue, with
whom we wished to pursue it, and what sort of
commitments we wish to make to them in the
process?"

.

I'm usually writing political stuff, but now trying my hand at a book playing with ideas gleaned from the non-fiction "The Dawn of Everything" by David Graeber and David Wengrow. I'm trying to incorporate the book's "three freedoms "listed on page 503.
