Every year since 1988, the United States has recognized World AIDS Day — until now.

Why not? Maybe because the Trump administration doesn’t want to acknowledge that its foreign aid cuts led to nearly 150,000 deaths from AIDS, according to Boston University researchers.

Shameful.

This does not prevent the Rosebank field, which has already received a licence, from being developed.

I can confirm that traffic noise in Shanghai, where EV use is highest, is dramatically reduced- the city is noticeably quiet! When we designed Dongtan eco city for all EV use we designed thinner facades on buildings for noise and natural ventilation for cleaner air. Big savings!
A quiet EV upside the FT highlights: less noise.

Cities like Beijing and Shanghai are already seeing calmer, quieter streets—and better sleep—as EV adoption rises.

EVs are notably quieter at low speeds, though tyre noise dominates above ~50 km/h.
