I know that as I know one as part of my extended family. I was simply mulling over the worry that instead of (say) 500 dogs per year requiring homing, there will be a surge of 1500 early retired dogs. Finding homes for these will require a huge effort. That’s all

Be aware that if this initiative were successful there would be a large number of greyhounds needing rehoming at the same time. Not a trivial issue if you care about the dogs.
