Important 🧵. I want to make a couple of points. 1) SOCOM should be dismantled because it doesn't understand it's job. Officially it's a global, not geographic, combatant command. Its job is to manage the global SOF enterprise, including be the joint proponent for most, but not all SOF functions. 1/
This is actually a relevant factor here: it's been pretty clear SOUTHCOM, whose commander resigned, has been pushing back, at least somewhat. They're putting it under the operational command of SOCOM specifically because that's the most already rotten place you'll find people happy to do crimes.

When Blagojevich was still the governor, I used to joke he was obviously sending kickbacks to Google to make them route people through as many toll plazas as possible.

Google Maps also does weird things on interstates, though. I have had Google Maps tell me to take an offramp on a toll road, pay an unnecessary toll, and then follow the same offramp right back onto the same interstate, where if I'd stayed on the main part of the road there wasn't a toll.

Admittedly, I don't have a good sense of what constitutes a lot of square footage for businesses rather than living spaces.

Ooof, I used to be able to do "One Week" by BNL in my car, never had the courage to do it in front of a crowd. Hardware Store is another level; didn't Al say for one of his tours that's one song that he doesn't do that one live because it's too hard?
