A beautiful and very scarce collection of engravings of 'Costumes from the Papal Court' dating to c.1850. All hand-coloured and probably engraved/published by Liberali. Normally seen in a smaller scale production bound concertina style this is larger and in marbled paper boards.

OG followers will know how I feel about large books. But I am willing to give this one a pass. "The Homecoming" by Harold Pinter created in an edition of 200, standing over 18" tall, with lithographs by Harold Cohen and SIGNED by both the author and the artist.

Damaged and delicate, but this is an incredibly rare edition of H G Wells's The War of the World's published as a pulp paperback c.1920

This style of stapled paperback book with paper that browned crumbled as soon as it saw sunlight were popular at the time of WWI but barely ever survive looking nice today. These covers look amazing but the books themselves are a friable mess.
