Bronze statue of Eve in a niche. Her head is bent forward, her face in the crook of her left arm which is clutching the right side of her neck, the elbow resting just behind her right wrist. Her right arm is bent at the elbow with her left hand clutching her left side. Her body is twisted slightly at the waist, the left knee raised and in front of the straight right knee. The statue is in a rounded niche of large white blocks. The blocks and shadows form the background of the picture.

Different colored (red, yellow, and blueish grey) bent metal squares about a foot or two on a side with thin solid borders and mesh interiors rise up the stairwell to the ceiling like abstract leaves blown by the wind. Also visible in the picture are the stairwell ceiling, windows, and tiled walls, and the rods attaching the squares to the walls. The bluish grey, while not a standard autumn leaf color, matches the lighter wall tiles.

This piece, mounted on the South wall of the Franklin Institute, is best described by the accompanying text on site: "The Shimmer Wall continuously changes its appearance a it responds to the environment. As breezes blow and wind gusts the wall dynamically adapts and provides a vivid and captivating portrait of nature at play powered only by the moving air. The installation is a network of 10,824 five-inch aluminum squares individually hinged to move freely. The metal also dramatically mirrors the sky, using sunlight and moonlight to brighten the changing canvas."
