When I Wore The Perfume Of Your Sins

Oud— your signature musk I remember.
Warmth and grounded, tame and woody,
Steep memories of wishes I'll never gather—
Cold cruel sillage, bright woodland, yours.

If— I adorn your musk I dismember.
Heavy and cold, wild and leaded,
Cruel words define the sins you waver
Bright stinging scent, damp crumbled, yours.

I never asked to adorn the scent of your sins
Yet, I got a dream— it wasn't what I wanted.

Pieces flying, smashed pieces grazing my face.
Red haze demanding rigor in trickery

--I cannot handle what you say to me--

Papers ripping tearing letters destroying you
"Are you sure you want to delete your account?"
Chest gripping hurting tightly disconcerting,

--I wish you the best, really! I'm sorry--

Red strings dismember faster than I could stew
Dismembering old gifts and flaying past images
"Are you sure you want to archive your data?"

I wish.....you never

1). They’ve often had their reality denied.
2). They've been hurt in unpredictable ways & believe it was because they didn't explain better.
3). They've grown up being ignored.
