The PickPath experience, The Mini Lives of Minikins, guides curious Wellingtonians to all of these dioramas before arriving at Glover Park to start the Christmas celebrations.

This community art trail celebrates imagination, nature, and exploration. Hidden along the city’s cycle and walking routes are miniature dioramas revealing the secret world of the Minikins, the small, kind-hearted beings of folklore who live quietly alongside humans.

Anchored in the Matariki themes of reflection, remembrance, and renewal, the experience embodies the whakataukī “Ka mua, ka muri”—walking backwards into the future, Miki Rapu Waiata: Taonga, invites the public on an app-led interactive audio journey beginning in the middle of Te Komititanga.
