Why is art deserving of your outrage but development, project managers, program leads, writers, etc aren't? Either denounce AI or don't, but the hypocrites complaining about AI art and then having zero to say about other industries being impacted by AI also just come off as virtue signalers.

Actually what really needs to happen is for people to demand UBI and universal healthcare. Late stage capitalism will come for everyone, AI is just the current boogeyman.

Most of the outrage around ai centers around art or to a lesser extent writing dialogue but you're right, there's no outrage about using copilot to improve your net code or deploy server infrastructure. It all just feels like virtue signaling and is starting to fall on deaf ears.

How is saying "the solution to this problem is this" a whataboutism or changing the subject lol. Being a realist about what ai is and does and the fact that it's never going away is less "being in the wrong" than delusionally acting like you can virtue signal it's use out of existence.

The right side of history would be championing UBI and universal healthcare, that's how you solve the problem AI is creating. Acting like you can close Pandoras box is as delusional as whining about coal mines closing or being mad about the invention of the assembly line.

It's actually really cool if you played the game instead of just parroting ai = bad in all scenarios. "Please pick from 1 of 3 pre written dialogue boxes" is dated, being able to type whatever you want and an llm interpreting keywords and responding to you is pretty next level immersion.

I think the performative moral outrage about voice actors or artists losing jobs to ai in video games while IT, program managers, devops, software developers etc have had mass layoffs from ai in all industries yet you're not denouncing ai in the comments there is the real "ass reply".
