But I still just want the Sigma 60-600mm for the RF (yes there is an EF version, but ideally I'd want one built with mirrorless in mind, like they already have with other mounts).

See what's funny, on a 2GB RAM crap tier CPU and 32GB storage old laptop Arch with Plasma, under both Wayland and X11, was running slower than default Linux Mint is.
Tried Arch with GNOME as well, again Wayland and X11, and ran worse.
