I like Wrath of Cortex, I think it’s underrated.
But yeah it is pretty much an inferior Warped. When the levels are bad, they are BAAAD. But when they’re good, they’re really good.
I genuinely had more fun with it than I did with It’s About Time.

Yeah the levels in IAT are a slog if you’re going for the perfect relics and restarting after every death. It’s incredibly tedious.
Though it’s the game hiding boxes in the dumbest places that really grinds my gears. Too many times have I finished a level with a single box missing.
