And it doesn't end with the rivers. Excessive nutrients flowing down the Murray-Darling system are at least partially responsible for the devastation being caused by the algal bloom around the S.A. coast.

"Overall, the project found that the poor river condition in most indexes was due to the alteration of natural flow by water extraction and river regulation".

Just tell the truth:
Irrigation is killing our rivers.

This is a psychopath’s idea of family fun. However a doctor is prevented from speaking & educating about war injuries in children as he may mention Palestine. Call child protection on every parent that brings their child there.

Did I miss the outraged response from our upstanding leader, @albomp.bsky.social, Mr. Social Cohesion? This is appalling and surely illegal - celebrating the deaths of innocent people & indoctrinating Australian children into the art of warfare.

“Samuel – who Ley, as Scott Morrison’s environment minister, commissioned for the review that inspired the reforms – had a different view.

“They have manoeuvred themselves into irrelevance on this matter,” the former consumer watchdog said of the Coalition.

There are several issues here & none of them shows Labor in a good light:
- Labor made a pre-election promise & has broken it
- Income Management clearly targets indigenous recipients
- Is Income Management of any lasting value? Are there fairer strategies & have they been fully tested?

How abolishing compulsory cashless welfare is working out with the Labor government in Australia:
#AusPol "WORKING THROUGH ISSUES IN A PRACTICAL WAY"

BRASH: Income management + the Basics Card. In the federal election campaign, Labor promised to make compulsory income management voluntary. Why did that never happen?

PM: Well, we're working through issues in a practical way.

Anthony Albanese voted consistently for compulsory income management for welfare recipients

Labor talked a lot about making sensible and ground breaking changes, but it's as if the brakes came on when they came to power.

Personally I'm very disappointed in them, this is another in a long line of "just wait and see" policy they've adopted.

Hey all, this is a copy of a letter or message I sent to my US Senator Chris Murphy this afternoon via his website. I'm sharing it in the hopes of encouraging others to write to their Congressional Representatives as well. There was an article today in the Washington Post...
