I've been on it more and can confirm, people just use Pillowfort to post anything lmao. It reminds me a little bit of a golden age of Tumblr. Anybody can join and do/post whatever on Pillowfort within the rules, so if you're tryna commission artists, it's worth considering

- They pay more for a high-risk processor.

- They are not on app stores to avoid censorship there.

- They are 100% user funded to avoid needing to appeal to advertiser whims.

I really wish people were talking about Pillowfort more. It's nsfw-friendly, variety of features, user-funded and not beholden to corpos and tech-bro bigots... I'm still surprised bluesky caught on faster and better than it did, though we're seeing how that's going now.

Ya know how this site has feeds? Well Pillowfort has a similar thing called "Communities". The big difference is that when you're in one, you can choose to post to that community instead of your main page. Pretty neat, eh? Join em all, join Pillowfort.

If you guys are considering jumping ship, might I suggest Pillowfort? It's a bit quieter, but there are lots of communities to join and share your work. It's NSFW friendly and user funded, so no worries about ads or appealing to investors. And of course, it's anti-AI!

I've really been enjoying Pillowfort, and its Communities feature is something that actually works. As more and more websites implement bullshit censorship rules, Pillowfort is committed to hosting legal art even if it's "controversial" for payment processors (eg. kink and furry porn apparently)
