I have but one #BlackFridayDeals from this year, but I shall post some from years past, since I have never posted them here. I am but a humble raccoon of the holiday.

In the delicate almost done with a drawing where I don’t know if I’m tired, and just want to call it OR if I am going to overwork it. It is staring at me from across the room like a MENACE.

I always think I have all the things. I never have all the things. I’m always missing some crucial tool or ingredient. One where I can make do with what I have, but the results are never quite right.

It was so so rainy today. I don’t want to ever go outside again. I think I’m just mad that I was looking at rulers at the stationery store when I bought a compass. I should have just bought a longer ruler. I thought about it, but then dismissed the idea for some unknown reason.

I also realised today that I have some really weird rulers. My current favourite; which is clear, and thick plastic with anti sliding things on it, is clear, but has light and dark measuring side AND a grid is for some reason unknown to me is 19cm+ plus an indeterminate 1/2ish clear part on the top.

I acquired a compass, so I can draw a circle like a proper adult v. tracing a random bowl that’s about the size of the circle I need to fit on the page.

Last day at day job for an ENTIRE WEEK. I can’t even work on current drawing until I acquire a compass, so forced relax. This is not in my nature, also so so tired.

I don’t know..
Just some ghost fires floating above the ocean. I’m telling you, the ocean is haunted.

Newport, OR is next to the murder ocean. It swallows people whole never to be seen again. Give back the d*mn helicopter, you bastards.

Without this helicopter, one of the most dangerous stretches of the Pacific Coast lacks timely aerial rescue coverage.

We’re working every day to keep Oregon communities safe – and that includes coastal communities.

Today, we filed a lawsuit to compel the federal government to return Newport’s search-and-rescue helicopter – a critical step for community safety.

This helicopter was recently removed without public notice, community consultation, or risk assessment required by federal law.

I learned to sew when I was 3.
What’s the lore behind choosing your career path ?

I don’t think people understand the lengths I will go through to not re-line a coat. I am backing the sleeve lining in a janky imitation of kimono construction, and covering the shredded cuffs on the lining on this shearling trimmed layer coat. The inside is already a partial quilt.

3 years in, TODAY I learned which were the bottom and top serger threads, and when to tighten or loosen the tension on which to fix basic problems. To be fair, I almost never used a serger for the entirety of my 20+ year career, so I went in knowing almost nothing. Better late than never, I guess.
