A lot of games with EAC work on Linux. It’s a relatively painless procedure on the developer’s part, quite literally a check box I think. Games like Elden Ring and Dead by Daylight work, but others like PUBG don’t. If you prefer single player and coop games, Linux won’t be cause an issue.

It worked on Linux last time I played it a few months ago. The main set of games that are explicitly not going to work are most EA games from the last 2-3 years, riot games, and some games with EAC where the devs are hesitant in letting steam do the distribution instead of themselves.

It's definitely fun and rewarding. Something I got addicted to since learning linux in college about 6 years ago was making a homelab where I just have a cheap computer running where I can just do a bunch of stuff. Having a VE like proxmox makes it easy to experiment too.
