Until we recognize that incentives in our society our fundamentally broken, that there is no real difference between the political parties that govern us, absooutely nothing will change

Locally, Californian democrats ordered mass imprisonment of the people their policies had forced to sleep on the streets. In Georgia they broke dozens of budget and environmental rules, killing one protestor and maiming hundreds more, to build a facility where local police could train with the IDF

Democrats increased ICE and CBP funding and broke deportation records every single year between 2021-2024, and gave more than 20 billion in military aid to Israel while doing nothing to address income inequality or the cost of living crisis

And how exactly do we plan to do that? Unless you're very, very rich you have exactly zero leverage over "the system"

Democratic candidates are chosen by party officials or private donors rich enough to fund a campaign. That process will never produce a candidate who will make necessary reforms. Pointing that out isn't "doomerism", its simply acknowledgement of a failing strategy
