Trump is “the most openly corrupt president in American history.”

Let’s all put Rutger Bregman’s words out there, seeing as how the BBC will not … on advice of counsel.

NEWS --> BBC confirms to me that they did edit a line out of historian @rutgerbregman.com's speech. It called Trump "the most openly corrupt president in US history."

BBC also confirms this was done on the advice of lawyers. So Trump's threats worked.

Trump’s Fury at BBC Gets Unnerving Results with Pro-MAGA Edit Stunner
First, British Broadcasting Corporation execs resigned after Trump complained about a segment. Now the BBC edited out a line from a historian that was critical of Trump. Where does this end?

Umm… not a historian but isn’t Western civilization a product of multiple mass migration events? Didn’t cultural diffusion introduce new ideas and customs? Or did it just spring fully formed from the Western European soil, like Athena from Zeus?

Since we know Russia had its hooks into the FBI in NYC and we know that the FBI in NYC seized the Jeffrey Epstein files from his home in NYC, why don’t we think that Russia has the Epstein files and any incriminating information contained in them?

If your family has experienced billions or millions of $s of increased wealth over the past 12 months, it probably feels like the economy is booming. The President & some of his economic advisors are experiencing this. Is your family?

They didn’t like the irritating honking noises the goose that laid golden eggs made, so they killed it.
The Trump Administration killed over 383 active clinical trials and directly harmed more than 74,000 Americans with lasting future impacts for the public at large.

Trump' s war on scientific research and public health is costing Americans lives and livelihoods.

Just what is the current US national debt? How can we afford to cover the walls of the White House with 24 karat gold when we owe so much money?
Just wondering if he’s using our taxpayer dollars to fund his 24 karat gold wall decals while American stand for hours in food pantry lines.

Trump: "Some of the highest quality 24 karat gold used in the Oval Office and Cabinet Room of the White House."

The end of dollar hegemony will transform U.S. debt from a fiscal drag into a high-yield fusion bomb.

For decades dollarization has generated structural demand for U.S. treasuries, depressing the interest rates the U.S. needs to offer to service its debt.
one thing that I think we really don't think about is if Trump fucks up America's macro privileges or role in the international system and Americans are forced to end up dealing with a economic system that doesn't allow for the same old fiscal fixes as before

If the Supreme Court decides Trump’s Tariff Taxes are illegal, do US consumers get a refund? I didn’t think so. Will the President get to keep the “gifts” given to him for reducing tariffs on certain entities?
According to a new analysis by Democrats on the Joint Economic Committee, the average American family has paid more than $700 in higher costs per month since Trump took office.

Remember when Trump said he would end inflation on "day one"?
