Matvey Lykov, not sure exactly when, sometime between 2010-13.
Moody portrait of Matvey Lykov. I liked drawing this because of the hard and soft areas of shadow. They make a nice rhythm. The background is a vibrant blue, and Matvey is rendered in a purply colour with some bright white highlights, kind of like he's a storm cloud on a clear day.

In this futuristic version of the sport, the climber has to fight off spider-shaped robots which throw the climber off the wall. The climber uses jet propulsion to leap back on and try to get back into the race to the top.
