Rian Johnson is 3 for 3 on incredibly entertaining murder mysteries. Loved this. More in line with the first than the crazier second one but still full of great twists and really takes a look at both the good and the bad roles religion can take in a persons life and how important forgiveness can be

The Benoit Blanc trilogy might end up as one of the best artistic statements on the diseased conservatism of our era, and l think Wake Up Dead Man is my favorite of the trilogy, largely because it’s Rian Johnson trying to understand Christianity and its adherents more than having a definitive take.

I said this before, over on the other site I think, but this movie has one of the best “becoming the hero” moments of any superhero film. It mostly comes down to Miles being one of the few heroes who knows, first hand, that there are no guarantees the good guys win, and he suits up anyway.

As Lorenz Hart, he is giving us a masterclass.

I hang on his every word. Hard to pick a pure favorite character from this film because everyone is so good and cast exceptionally well, but Cheadle is certainly one of them
I love him in this so much. I love how he always outshine Clooney in every movie they're in together. 😭😭😭

Revisiting Out of Sight paying special attention to Cheadle's Maurice "Snoop" Miller ...the cold void of emotion in his eyes that appears out over the warmth of his smile..with the films overall tone and Cheadles performance its easy to forget Snoop is the most dangerous person in this film..
