Design Historian. Bartlett School of Architecture PhD. Thesis on commercial office interiors and the capitalist labor process. Primary investigator of Chandigarh Chairs project. Big into (studying) design crime.
Would also argue, though, that the overlap between architectural preservationists and the oligarchy is....substantial. King Charles is exhibit A, B, and C.

'The text discusses the commercial office space but does not specifically address where one might cry in an open plan office'???

Checking that I've read right that the position is only guaranteed until September 2025? If so, is there not a deep irony and problem of someone being expected to work toward the future on such a short-term (and insecure) basis?

Full disclosure here, I am a huge Charli XCX fan, and went to the brat tour. But even I don't want functional promo materials to look like this...

Wallpaper did a (not so great) write up on the intentional 'badness' of the design, and trhowback to the Myspace-era internet aesthetic. Think its all supposed to be familiar to millennials, and cool/subversive to Gen Z.

Chuffed to have actually been a survey taker for this poll. I'll leave my response up to the world to guess....

For me, it's Corbusier's design for Tokyo's National Museum of Western Art.

'...the underlying story of Chandigarh’s modernist furniture is exciting, captivating, and sensational; a narrative of theft and lying which spans several continents and involves a bevy of blockbuster names, from Sotheby’s and Christie’s to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.'
