The bruh setting.

It’s titled “The M Programming Language” with the author names Neil A. Derthal and Ann R. Teur on the cover. There’s a big bold M in the center and a red stamp with “ANSI M” written inside. The back contains an also made-up snippet of a preface, which goes as follows: We have tried to come up with a lot of filler text for this back side of this fake book, yet it turns out that's much harder to accomplish while under the influence. The influence of green plants. Yes, we're talking about peppermints, a herb which was first identified by a Dr. Eales in England, at least according to everyone's favorite free encyclopedia, Wikipedia. The initial name was Mentha spicis brevioribus et habitioribus, foliis Mentha fusca, sapore fervido piperis, which I’m only adding here so I can have some fancy italic text here too. Anyway, according to her creator, Mina is actually able to summon a terminal window into the world and is more like an android personal assistant. Hieroglyphs.
A photo of hieroglyphs embedded on a wall inside a tomb in the Valley of the Kings. It was shot at an angle with a low f-stop, so the hieroglyphs closer to the camera appear sharp on the left, while those further away appear blurrier towards the right.

There are a lot of thin stripes of wood, some solid and some with a line pattern, that span diagonally between solid wooden bars connected to concrete pillars. The angles of the wood stripes form various diamond and triangle shapes through which the sky can be seen.

Cairo Tower.

Çeşme, İzmir, Turkey. From a plane a few weeks ago.
A photo showing a large part of Çeşme, a municipality in the province of İzmir at the westernmost end of Turkey. It was taken on a flight to Egypt at an altitude of around 35,000 ft (10.6 km). The plane was around 76 km west of the area pictured.

The size of the installed packages is 10,729 mebibytes (or about 10.5 gigabytes). The size difference after the update is almost 56 mebibytes (or 58.7 megabytes).

LCDs are cool.
A macro photo of the orange LCD segments on a black digital clock. The top halves of the displays that make up the number 19 on this clock are shown. Only half of the segments that make up the 9 are fully lit. The other half is just barely visible in this moment, appearing as faint gradients going from a dim orange to almost fully black.

A 3D rendered isometric lowercase a floating in a dark void. The glyph uses a glass material that’s slightly frosted. White light is reflecting on the sides and edges of the glyph. Those brighter spots are fairly noisy.

Here's an overview.

Writing the alt text probably took longer than making the graphic itself.
An overview of (currently) all the different character variants and stylistic sets of my sans-serif font. "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" is written 4 times. By default, the cross bar of the lowercase f and t are only seen on the right side of the stem. The lowercase L has a tail to differentiate it from the capital i, and the lowercase a is single-storey. In set 1 the cross bars in the lowercase f and t go all the way through to the left side. In set 3, also called "Conventional", the cross bars are full, the lowercase L has no tail and the lowercase a is double-storey. Set 4, called "Moderno," has simpler designs for the lowercase u, n, m, and r. These glyphs usually have arches extending from a vertical stem on the right, but this stylistic set omits these stems. In the bottom left there are 3 capital G's and Q's with different designs. The horizontal bar of the normal G is introduced with a smooth curve and has a spur. The first variant has a sharp corner with a spur, and the second variant a sharp corner without a spur. The normal Q has a diagonal stroke attached on the bottom. The first variant has that stroke going through the main body in the bottom right. The second variant has a wavy line attached at the bottom. Next to these letters there are two rows of numbers from 1 to 9 and 0. The top row shows proportional figures, where the 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9 and 0 are featured with their alternate designs. The lower row shows the same, but with tabular figures. The normal 1 has a diagonal stroke at the top, its variant a squared top with a curved cutout in the top left. The normal 2 and 7 have curvier diagonal middle strokes, their variants' are more straight. The normal 3 has small apertures and is more rounded like an 8, whereas its variant has a flat top. The normal 4 has a closed counter, its variant is open. The normal 6 and 9 have small apertures like the 3. Their variants are open with a diagonal stroke. The 0 has a slashed variant.

A screenshot of the Features tab in the Font Info window in Glyphs. There are 4 stylistic sets and 20 character variants defined. The third stylistic set called "Conventional" is currently selected, which replaces the letters a, l, f and t with more normal designs.

Some variants.
The numbers 0-9 of my sans-serif font with the following different characteristics: 0 with a slash, 1 with a concave cutout at the top left, 2 with a straight diagonal stroke in the middle section, 3 with a flat top and diagonal stroke towards the center, 4 with an open aperture, 6 and 9 with straight diagonal strokes coming from the bowl, 7 with a straight diagonal stroke. The original glyphs were more curvy, 0 didn't have a slash and 4 was closed.
