- and it is wonderful. We enjoy food again. The desserts are all local grandma's and family recipes. We are healthier. We lost weight. and we love the food we find. The locally sourced food is so much better. It is great to buy directly from the farmers too and a lot less expensive.

There is no craft to cooking in those restaurant corporations anymore. They maximize their profits and in exchange all we get is lazy and it is boring food that is meh at best. It is only after we moved to Vermont about 2 years ago that discovered what real farm to table locally sourced food is like

Every single dessert only comes from a couple of manufacturers and are all exactly the same everywhere. I was a cook in a 5 star restaurant long ago. I can safely say that creativity, uniqueness and quality of the food cooked in major metropolitan areas is just about dead.

If you want lobster Bisque and go to any Landry's it is the exact same recipe regardless of the location or restaurant name - any of the 30 or so "different" locations all serve the exact same menu items whether it is Pappadeaux's or Joe's Crab Shack or McCormick's They are all the exact same food.

We noticed this long ago living in the Houston area our whole lives. Almost every single restaurant there is owned by 2 companies or is a national franchise and are all supplied by Sysco foods. Every single intersection in any direction is the exact same assortment of shops and restaurants.
