I couldn't find The Last Bear by @hannahgold.bsky.social in the library in Riom, France, but it is available in Saint Beauzire which is where we are staying.

This evening members of @newarktrg.bsky.social presented their Examples of Practice.
The enthusiasm for their work moved me to happy tears.
The one recurring theme was surprise at how very little effort made such an impact on the children's response to reading.
Of course we celebrated with a story.

I think it's quite obvious from some of this morning's book returns what children enjoy reading at our school.

I shared My Beautiful Voice by Joseph Coehlo with Year 5 today.
Many children recognised themselves.
More than a handful came to speak with me afterwards about how anxiety affects them.
What a wonderful story & a great opportunity to offer support, understanding & to build relationships.

I cancelled my X account and came here to get away from this piece of work.
No thank you.
We have NOTHING in common.
I am here for the kidslit and the edu community only, not this or even a parody of this. ⬇️

Can anyone please explain to me exactly what is / are Mirror Men.
I don't know if I will sleep tonight. I have too many solutions to this puzzle floating around my brain.

In Doncaster with @sufiyaahmed.bsky.social & Sallie from @newarktrg.bsky.social at the OURfP Choice & Voice Matters Conference.
An inspiring day!
Plus a big bag of books to bring back to school to share with the children on Monday.

The perfect book to share to end British Science Week and to celebrate the birthday and work of Albert Einstein.

When Cucumber Lost His Cool by Michelle Robinson.

One of my favourite picture story books. It has a great rhythm and can't just be read. The children love it most when I rap it.

It has been a super World Book Day. I hope you all had as much fun as we did.

I borrowed this book from the @newarktrg.bsky.social mini library.
What a beautiful story about the knowledge you can gain from reading and friendship.
All of the children I have shared it with this week from F2 to Year 6 have all said 'That's such a lovely story.'
I really don't want to return it.

Whilst dinner table conversation in our house often includes the topic of physics and I regularly learn something from our in-house physics teacher. I suspect that @physicsmrh.bsky.social didn't know that Albert Einstein preferred not to wear socks.

Incredibly moving.
I am finding it hard to find the words to describe this story.
Just pop it on your 'must read' list.

So excited that @lindsaygalvin.bsky.social is here because this is the next book on my to read pile.
I adore her work!
Stories based on historical events are definitely my thing.

Yes!
Going to celebrate by starting a new book.

The Light of Everything by Katya Balen - touches on domestic abuse and blended families.
A 24 hour read that I couldn't put down.

Currently relaxing by the pool in the Dominican Republic.
These are the books I have enjoyed so far.
Fight Back - totally current given recent events.
The Light of Everything touches on domestic abuse and blended families.
Both 24 hour reads that I couldn't put down.

I had already selected this book from the school library for my holiday read. I chose it because it interested me. Little did I know, but it was perfect timing!
This is a story that I can't wait to share and discuss with the children on our return to school.
