Yes, absolutely. Over the last few months, I've rediscovered several children's and young adult books on used book websites, most of them in excellent condition. This allowed me to replace lost books and complete some series.

I bought them used in English for 5 to 9 euros.

I somehow have the feeling that the book wasn't translated into German in a large print run.

Getting the books in German is almost impossible. I got it in English; I only saw a used copy of The Secret Commonwealth in German for 80 euros.

Reading these books as a young girl in the 90s was very impoerant for me; there were hardly any books with strong girls or heroines who weren't walking clichés. Pullman's Sally Lockhardt series also really influenced me. His books are so amazing 😭

I loved the Golden Compass as a child, but honestly, I only recently found out there newer books xD I bought the books and also the audiobooks with Michael...
