No, of course not. Problematic are does not create actual IRL criminals in the same way the peanut butter didn’t create the mice.

Did the PB attract the mice? Sure.
Does noncon art potentially attract some horrible people? Sure.

The idea that problematic art or kinks “cause real life harm” is a fundamental misunderstanding of causality.

Think about it like this:

You put out a mousetrap and baiting with peanut butter. You check back and find a bunch of dead mice.

Do you conclude that peanut butter creates mice?

And as a gay person, the people whose policies on non-con art he seems to be in support of consider him to be a pedophile and predatory by nature.

These things are, I'm sure, not in the least bit correct. But the people who want to censor 'problematic' art will very quickly turn on him.

The guy I was responding to has "Mildly furry, quite gay" in his bio. He is very much NOT SAFE from the people he's appealing to to ban non-con art. Payment processors have already come out and said they consider furry and anthro art to be the same as actual, RL zoophilia.

AI salesmen KNOW what they're selling is socially toxic and they're hoping they'll have decades to make money before we realize it, too.

Finally: AI cannot do your job, but an AI salesman can 100% convince your boss to fire you and replace you with an AI that can't do your job, and when the bubble bursts, the money-hemorrhaging "foundation models" will be shut off and we'll lose the AI that can't do your job, and you will be long gone, retrained or retired or "discouraged" and out of the labor market, and no one will do your job.
AI is the asbestos we are shoveling into the walls of our society and our descendants will be digging it out for generations:

With the rising tide of fascism in the US and across the world, this is very much a case of “First they came for the non-con art, and I didn’t stand up, because I wasn’t into non-con art…” You might be farther down the list, but they WILL get to you eventually.

Banning non-con art isn’t gonna fix anything; all it does is give a bunch of neo-puritans the illusion of having done something meaningful, without actually having to come to grips with the monumental, generational task of reshaping our society into one that understand consent in the first place.
