Psychedelic Syndicate Update: Walter Dunn (Advisory Committee Member) acknowledged his prior relationship with VMHLC, a veterans coalition funded by major investors & donors in the sponsor & its parent company. In a new statement, he ignored a disclosure policy re: impartiality.

Thomas contradicted this evidence, stating the Hub "was not involved in a crisis communications plan" + that she "was not aware of the details [of Heroic Heart's messaging] and had no involvement in the messaging utilized by Heroic Hearts so I'm not sure how it would be relevant to the Hub." 6/7

In July, Robyn Thomas developed a "social media toolkit" to help members of the Hub create content that encouraged the FDA to approve Lykos' application. This toolkit encouraged promotion of Heroic Heart and Healing Breakthrough. 5/7

On June 24, 2024, Vitamin D sent a press release to the media promoting Heroic Hearts and Healing Breakthrough's Open Letter, which falsely alleged that Psymposia was anti-veteran and colluded with ICER to manipulate the FDA advisory committee. 3/7

In an email to the Psychedelic Communications Hub on June 18, 2024—2 weeks after the FDA advisory committee voted against approving Lykos' MDMA aplication—Robyn Thomas enlisted the Hub’s support for a “Crisis Communications Plan” covering the lead-up to the FDA’s ultimate approval or rejection. 1/7

PSFC’s 990 discloses that the group paid PR firm RALLY $149,900 for "communications" in 2023, the year the first Wall Street Journal article on Silicon Valley drug use was published. 6/7

In response, Lykos lead investor Protik Basu agreed with the need for “a clear and professional communications strategy.” Referring to this coordinated communications effort, Basu emphasized: “Glad it’s in motion…and can’t come too soon!” 5/7

He noted the article’s focus—“rich tech people [using] drugs”—was a vulnerability for PSFC. Green declined to be interviewed for the story + wrote: “This...highlights the importance of the work of creating a coordinated communications effort that Robyn Thomas is working on.” 4/7

The reporting also detailed that other directors — including Lykos Therapeutics investor Antonio Gracias, PSFC member Steve Jurvetson and PSFC member and Burning Man board member Kimbal Musk — "have consumed drugs with him.” 2/7

Between 2023-2024, the Wall Street Journal reported on the drug use of Elon Musk and his inner circle. This reporting revealed that some Tesla + SpaceX directors were “concerned” about Musk’s use of “cocaine, ecstasy, LSD…magic mushrooms” + “particularly his recreational use of ketamine.” 1/7
