Who will keep them up to date and by what method? Hoe will the govt enforce this? How much will this cost? Who will pay for it? Is the cost worth it to stop a few illegal workers? What garantees will the govt give us they will not mis-use our data?

Why should we all have to have ID cards just because of a few immigrants working illegally? We already have a system in place to check if people have the right to work in the UK. ID cards will not stop illegal working. ID cards do not stop crime.
