Anybody Better At Rocks than I have know what the blue stone is? Super pretty. Came in a mixed bag. I don't think it's Dumortertite...? Kyanite maybe? @wyrdingstudios.com any thoughts? (The other is rainbow moonstone, I know that one)

Perfect. Might have been able to leave it in the oven for a while longer and have it be a little firmer but it's pretty darn perfect. And delicious.

Into the oven! 175⁰F. Convection. There was a magic moment where the texture changed and I knew it was ready to go into the pans.

....this took 9 hours last time... I have no idea why... 2.5 hours today, from washing to oven. O_o

Ok! Cook! Some water (not enough to cover, since I don't want to wait forever and ever for it all to cook off), and some lemon juice (the juice of one lemon. Ish.). Sugar (61.9oz) to be added later.

61.5oz froot! Quartered and cored, since I don't have a food mill and the potato ricer will do fine for removing the skins but the seeds are annoying. I did not core the last time, because the fruits were smaller, from flowering Quince bushes. Different species, still worked!

It is snowing. First official of the season I think. Perfect day to make Membrillo with the gorgeous Quince a friend dropped off last week. Taking better notes this time in the hopes it comes out right.
