I arrived back from our holiday keen to continue the fun with several items on my calendar. Unfortunately the lurgy was upon me. My daughter was far worse, maybe because she didn’t have the flu jab. An abrupt end to the fun, and back to work tomorrow if I’m better ☹️

I was delighted to get off the bus in Manchester & see a Timmy’s. We bought a latte, some nibbles, & some Timbits for my son who we were visiting. Then we felt awful about all the waste we’d generated - just for a snack! This will one day be as shameful as smoking in the same room as a small child.

Dear @uniofeastanglia.bsky.social PLEASE do something about this. You have new students arriving, and some of them, like me, will be terrified of dogs. This man was not happy when I pointed out that the signs say to put dogs on leads. He seemed to think it didn't matter.

My daughter’s bike was stolen 2 nights ago. Not as fancy as yours, but huge sentimental value. I’ve never seen her so upset. Then she called me in tears again last night because she’d found it - someone was walking around town with it, and willingly handed it over. Very happy for your reunion!

I’m usually more of a Sheppy’s fan, and I get sick of seeing Thatchers throughout the south west. But tonight they had a Thatchers scrumpy at The Alex, and it was pretty good.

What are the rules in this situation where lights are broken at a 4 way junction? I thought it was that the first person to arrive went first, or treat it like a roundabout. Curious.
