What would you want German media to say about this individual case? The broader problem of destruction of academic freedom in the US is certainly being discussed and reported. I even see programs popping up to support researchers who are persecuted in the US.

This garbage truck did not put the crane arm down and drove down the street ripping down the tram's overhead power lines. A bystander was injured and the intersection was shut down for hours. Repairs will take till the weekend. So no trams for a while.

Yes there was an accident today where the tram overhead lines got ripped down. The situation has been secured for now and the tram company is trying to get it repaired by the weekend. Until then it's a replacement service with buses.

There is a crossing with traffic light to the right out of frame. The problem I mean is more temporary and hopefully fixed soon.

If your job was to decarbonize by 2050 a big university in a state with hot summers, cold winters, and the 4th dirtiest electricity of any US state, what would you do? No nearby lake or big river, unremarkable geothermal resources, no safe/suitable site for nuclear on campus.

Der heutige Eintrag aus Kurt's Weltkriegstagebuch ist besonders stark vom Propaganda beeinflusst. Kriegsverbrechen gegen Belgische Zivilisten werden geleugnet und der Pfarrer verspricht die Einheit sei berufen sich besonders hervorzutun. Es ist gruselig das 110 Jahre später zu lesen.

Eine jüngere Verwandte meinte sie hat Schwierigkeiten sich mit zusätzlicher Altersvorsorge zu beschäftigen, weil sie sich nicht vorstellen kann dass es zu ihrer Rentenzeit noch eine funktionierende Gesellschaft geben wird die ihr Rente zahlt. Wusste nicht was ich entgegen soll.

Sehr treffend!
Ich glaub ich halte das nur einigermaßen aus, weil mein Job im 'alten Leben' sich um die Erforschung neuer Materialien für Solarmodule dreht. Trotzdem frag ich mich wann und wie der radikale Bruch mit den alten Vorgehensweise kommen müsste / wird.
