Also oh yeah, intersectionality is very, very, very important. Anyone who even wants to remotely see themselves as any way progressive should read and understand that concept, and take a critical eye on themselves.

You can be marginalised and yet enjoy privilege or believe in harmful ideas!

That is to say — we live under constant, never-ending violence that we have become too numb to recognise as such.

We need to see it for what it is and retaliate appropriately. But also class awareness and a united front is a necessity—acting too soon (without critical mass) will doom us.

These systems will never allow themselves to be fully reformed into something that benefits the people. Even as they give concessions, they will always work to maintain the interests of the powerful and to keep us cruel.

Only by tearing those systems apart can we be free.

They tagged that dark woke, but the more I stared at it the more confused I got: I saw nothing "dark" in that, at all. Just awareness. Just being woke.

Like here's a concrete example: I saw someone say that you can't be racist towards white people under the current state of affairs because even when white people are minoritised on a local scale, they are still the ones in power on a macro scale and are often a privileged minority anyways.

Like it's not that I reject the label itself because labels are useful, but.

Isn't 'dark woke' really just being woke?
November 16, 2025 at 7:42 AM
I am confuddled because whenever I see people saying they're 'dark woke' they're basically just ... being woke?

Because awareness of systemic injustice and violence and being 'civil' or apathetic is not being woke, it's being a bloody lib.

Chinese and EU emissions were more or less flat in 2025 (Chinese emissions may have actually declined slightly, but its too early to know for sure: www.carbonbrief.org/...).

US emissions increases drove much of the increase in global emissions in 2025.

But also—protect nature. Protect the Sierra Madre. Protect the hills. Global warming is going to make our life hell in the coming century and we need nature more than ever if we are to survive.

The Dutertes and Marcoses both hold responsibility, and so do many of their cronies in government and business. Erase these dynasties, and another will just take their place.

I can only hope that the anger of the people would fly where it needs to. Salvation is found in inverting the pyramid.
