This week, #RandomGameSaturday led me to the small stack of GB carts, and the unboxed SML1 I picked up a while ago. I always preferred the sprites and presentation on 2, but I admire the simplicity of this. And it got its own rap song!

More than five months after the PS+ release, I've won a game of Balatro!
I had levelled up Flush and was getting bonuses for flushes, clubs, odd ranks and discards, so I pretty much built each play around that! (and put as many extra club cards in my deck as possible...)

Browsing Steam Next Fest, I feel like the subgenre "bullet hell" has been co-opted by overhead twin-stick "survivors" games when it used to be associated with scrolling shoot 'em ups.
I don't know; they just seem a little too different to be coupled together?

I know it got an English release in Twisted, but I picked this up from an online seller long after the GBA was finished. And it's not like there's that much of a language barrier for a collection of microgames.
