The baby shrimp are growing and I've been trying to determine their colors, but it seems that they get the zoomies in shifts, making it hard to compare them!

I got Tremors about 20 days ago and he immediately burrowed under the sand. I've only seen him about 3 times, barely poking out of the substrate. Assassin snails are nocturnal and he was hunting in the open last night. (In Newt's voice:) They only come out at night, mostly...

Omg! The baby shrimp are getting bolder, roaming around the tank, and bigger... Although 'bigger' is still tiny! 😆 The Cory catfish is barely an inch long.

In random writing news: my newest novel is progressing well, and I'm enjoying the process. I love it when a story flows along easily and stays true to my outline. They don't always behave so nicely 😄 And, I have a (working) blurb for the novel, which is often the hardest part for me!

This post caught me looking at photos of my daughter's guinea pig. Mars passed away last winter, and Halloween won't be the same without him. He was such a sweet boy💔 All Hallow's Eve - when the veil between the worlds is thinnest. It's a good time to send love to those who have passed on. 💙🧡🖤💙

Tiny baby shrimplets!! These little things are only a couple of centimeters long and mostly transparent. The adults are barely an inch long, the babies even harder to spot!

Many are also veterans broken in service to our nation who need SocSec/Snap. Only about 25% of disabled vets get 100% compensation; the rest get much lower. Most deal with multiple disabilities and many can't work. 100% pay is 3,831/mo, which is not a living wage for even a non-disabled person.

I have finally named my 2 assassin snails. The new one burrows and attacks from below. He's Tremors. The first one does whatever the heck he pleases. My original assassin is named Cain.

I was thinking about this today, how, when I was a kid I was just odd, trouble, high-functioning, weird, too smart for my own good, spiteful, etc. Having a neurodivergent label or two, so I can benefit from the wisdom and coping tactics others share, is much easier. Labels are tools, not weapons.

Reasonable theory. Also, who has access during the construction? The WH is host to many highly classified briefings. Who is constructing? Who is onsite hiding shit in the walls?
