DSA convention is this weekend. The only thing I'm truly invested in is seeing 1M1V fail. I can't think of anything that would be worse than turning DSA into an org that spends all its time and energy vote whipping paper members.

I once laid out all the things that would need to happen electorally for JUST universal healthcare to be implemented in America. All the primary and general elections that would need to be won and the monumental obstacles at every step.

the nfl should adopt a rollover guys rule that lets you put fewer than 11 guys on the field for any given snap and save those allotted guys for a future play of your choosing. so you could take a knee with 4 guys on first through third downs and then run a 32-guy offense on fourth down
