Hoping the world doesn’t go fully to shit in the next five years 😬

PS: genocide apologia, transphobia, spam, & dickheadery will all get you blocked
this is the internet lol

I think you have a fundamental lack of imagination. Elon Musk killed 300 million people by cutting off USAID alone. RFK Jr will kill millions of kids by destroying vaccines.

Why are you so unconcerned about actual Nazis taking over, like in the US?

Well they’ve blocked me now, so they’re taking this criticism well 🙄

I have decent cooking skills but really struggle with finding inspiration. I could find a use for telling an LLM what I have and getting suggestions on what I can cook. That being said I’d probably prefer then looking up an actual recipe for the dish.

Probably at him!

wtf does the guy’s ethnicity have to do with anything?

1) learn to read 2) Labour is directly responsible for 300,000 dead kids????? 3) yes, things can get a fuckton worse than they are now, if you need an example look across the pond.

enjoy your computer from 1998 mate, I personally don’t mind taking advantage of Moore’s Law or playing a video game with more than two pixels!

The funny thing is though, they can literally just tap with their contactless card and get on the first non-GX train they see. Same with Heathrow and the Lizzy Line!

I mean trivially, yes, a Reform majority would be all that but 10x worse.

(This is in no way a defence of Starmer. He can get absolutely fucked, I am not voting Labour. But we need to do what we can to keep Reform out).

Gatwick Express is literally the same speed as Southern from Victoria, and runs less frequently! I genuinely don’t even know what the point of it is except to trick tourists.

7500 > 300

Not even just earning their keep - let them have a life. They’re paid so little they can’t do anything except stay in their holiday inn. That would destroy anyone’s mental wellbeing. People need something to do, to feel like they contribute to society.

The average car is, let’s say, $30,000. Let’s assume very generously that it lasts 20 years before maintenance gets too expensive. You’re paying $1,500 a year to lease a car - fuel, insurance, and maintenance not included.

Compared to that price, $60/yr for a phone seems like a fantastic deal.
December 5, 2025 at 4:43 PM
Cars and phones are not remotely equivalent, phones require constant security and bug-fixing updates, and meanwhile the web and applications move on to use the more advanced processing power. Cars, meanwhile, are cars.

Apple supporting phones for a decade is far more than any other manufacturer.

I genuinely don’t get why they got rid of that feature
December 5, 2025 at 9:41 AM
wtf are you on about? Liberalism and centrism aren’t remotely synonymous. A centrist is, by definition, not liberal, because they’re in the middle between liberals and authoritarians. There are left wing liberals, right wing liberals, and economically moderate liberals; ditto authoritarians.

I think that’s a little different because Singapore has fantastic public transport *and* cheap taxis, and driving a car in those conditions is absolutely a luxury. It’s also, AFAIK, structured more like a tax: I don’t think there’s any discretion in who gets one, right? They go to the highest bidder
December 4, 2025 at 5:56 PM
and like, the fact that there are literally racial quotas for government housing, and that the government has cancelled upgrades for HDB blocks because the local area voted for the opposition, points towards that view. Or maybe it’s just a happy side-effect.
December 4, 2025 at 5:26 PM
It’s a weird hybrid regime where some aspects of the economy could be called left wing, others right, but the main thing the government cares about is control.

A conspiracy-minded individual could conclude e.g. HDBs are designed to make the population dependent on government favour for housing.

I'm not sure that it's the economic growth aspect of Singapore that appeals to them tbh. Probably more the managed democracy, death penalty and public canings.

Singapore, which famously has zero foreigners or urban centres.
