So i'm testing out and trying to get used to drawing on Magma. As a result have a #Pomni from memory! I gave her a tooth gap by accident when drawing the facial guide I do for faces, and kept it. The Nutcracker Doll-esk mouth feature I did on purpose. Hope you like this doodle! #TADC #sketch #art

Using that thought process, the fact that Gengar has one entry and other things alluding/outright stating it was once a #Pokemon /human -combined with the fact other entries say it just wants a friend and seeks out warmth- could be used to argue that in its stage it now remembers it's life. (13/?)

You could just straight up headcanon that the reincarnation inconsistency STARTS with Gastly. You could tell me a theory that Gastly has little to no memory of its previous life, and is basically just a mischievous little wisp in its stage. I'd probably believe you. (12/?) #pokemon

For Haunter evolving into Gengar you could argue that Haunter sapping a victim to death could potentially trigger evolution into Gengar. It's iffy but the connection is there. There is also another connection point. (11/?) #pokemon

I'm specifically for the Haunter and Gengar comparison commenting on the muddled sources regarding Gengar and how he comes into being from potentially multiple routes. The reincarnated lore tidbit and whatnot. (10/?) #pokemon

Like even in Gengar's line and them evolving from Haunter there's more strings connecting the possibility of Haunter evolving into Gengar, than there is Shuppet into Banette. Haunter goes up to people and saps their life force. Giving you an opening for the evolution. (9/?) #pokemon

Banette is one of my favorite #Pokemon because of the story tied to it. I adore it to pieces, and to me it not being a standalone, and having pre evolution that doesn't personally have much depth to it, seems like an injustice and an oversight. (8/?)

The connection, to me at least, between Shuppet and Banette seems unfortunately like an after thought on GameFreak's part. Like the only possibility I can think of tying the two together has Shuppet possess a toy, or the prior issues of Banette being able to come about by itself. (7/?) #pokemon

So like can Shuppet evolve into Banette, and then Banette come into existence separately? But then how would that work? No other pokemon does that from my knowledge. Is this a weird version of the 'What came first Chicken or Egg' dilemma? (6/?) #pokemon

Like there isn't any special requirements for evolving into Banette from Shuppet from what I know. Like they just do! But that makes no sense!! Banette canonically in world comes straight into being FROM a doll or a toy! It's even show in the anime!! (5/?) #pokemon

Then every so often I remember that NOPE! Banette is somehow NOT in fact a standalone even though they had all the makings of being one. They in fact evolve from Shuppet... But like that makes no sense?! Like the only thing tying their concepts together is their negative energy motif. (4/?) #pokemon

WELL! For the longest time I didnt think that they had a prior form. Like a pre evolution. I knew Shuppet existed. I just thought Banette was a stand alone Pokemon. Because like that makes sense right? Their Dex entry and the anime kinda set them up to come off like that. (3/?) #pokemon

Okay so I know I haven't posted at all lately, but I have a question to see if anybody else is bugged by this or noticed this like I did. We all know Banette right? The Pokemon with the Dex entry that states it came into being from a discarded doll? Like that's its entire gimmick? (1/?) #Pokemon
