I like it's crunchiness. Did you ever notice in old movies that there's always a celery dish on the table? It used to be a staple for every dinner!

George Carlin was what drew me. I'm not sure what I thought of the show itself but I was watching it religiously within a few weeks.

RIP Diane Keaton
My favourite picture of her where everyone else is giving it their best Blue Steel & she looks like she’s just wandered in off the street looking super cool.
She was allowed to wear her own clothes & her wonderful personality shines out.
What a unique talent & human being.

Luckily for me, my mom had her own food hatreds so she sympathized with us. We never had to eat cooked spinach because she hated it.

I could not agree more! I used to take my mom out to Sunday dinner and when we got our salads, I'd immediately give her my onions and she'd give me her cucumbers.

Tiresome chore accomplished: winter and summer clothes switched out.

I did end up turning off the sound for large portions. I don't want to discuss AI or budget cuts, thank you.

Replace these “wireless telegraphs” with smartphones, update the dress a little, and this vision of "isolating technology" from a 1906 issue of Punch magazine could easily be from today: https://publicdomainreview.org/collection/a-vision-of-isolating-technology-from-1906
