I'll probably be giving it a go once they support digital files and non-US clients/sellers, but it honestly seems like it'll fizzle. The US-only rule is basically the only thing keeping dropshippers at bay.

I know it's funniest to post about Murderbot (the 3D printer) having problems because of the name, but unfortunately for me, I have invoked some sort of cosmic destiny in naming it that, as it is legitimately the ONLY printer we have with problems.

It appears that you cannot use any letter on the bottom row unless you put an apostrophe on either side of it, because the text tool... used to apply text to models... is now looking for math equations first and foremost.

while every cosplayer justifiably hates “hey can you make my Halloween costume for $50? My party is in four days,” the version of this I love is poor baffled parents showing up in cosplay communities going “help, my child wants to do this for Halloween and I’m totally lost”

Necro’ing this post to express my glee at the baguette costume trend because the expedition 33 devs get it!!! They effectively have marketed their game by making an outfit that is easy to either buy or make, so cons are full of these costumes! It rocks and I love it

I have a genuine belief that part of what’s killing entry level cosplay crafting vs just buying your costumes is that popular video game trends have made your default popular characters that newbies would love to cosplay into something far beyond the capabilities of anyone who’s not semi-pro

I moved into doing kits professionally because in the early 2010s I saw handmade builds slowing. I wanted to make crafting easier. Now I see it as a bit differently; costume designs are so overwhelming that many people report they wouldn’t do the costume at all if they had to make all of it.
