Australia's deadliest marsupial.

No real reason for this other than aren't the stickers from Redbubble magic & I wish you could hear how well the theme music from the Sarah Connor Chronicles workes with this on my insta account.
We have named it Cromartie.
I'm counting on the Maine Coons to protect us if gets uppity & hacks the AC

You might enjoy these books, the GC library has them. Can't wait to try the broad-bean falafal.

My pleasure. I go through fits and bursts with the garden, but I went to a veggie growing class at the Currumbin ecovillage last weekend so I was fired up.
I've always wanted a couple of these raised beds with the wicking system so you only need to water them once a week.

My watermelon earrings are shiny and they catch the light and get attention everywhere I go.
I've also got a butterfly hat that the arms dealers - sorry! I mean genocide apologists might want to put on their banned list.
From Redbubble, if you want one.

My 2c worth from TomTato land...remember you can buy beautiful watermelon earrings from the First Nations artist Haus of Dizzy (she's on insta), you can crochet your own fluffy watermelons to dangle from your rear-view-mirror and Tees & Totes can be purchased from Readers & Writers against genocide

Yep. For a state which had one of the highest No votes in the referendum to recognise First Nations people & allow us an advisory Voice to parliament to provide expertise on things that affect us...yep.
There was a white supremacist rally yesterday as backlash - led by the 🤑puppet masters 🙄
August 31, 2025 at 11:53 PM
Property tycoon puppet masters, manipulating idiots to protect their wealth. Did you see this over on insta?
August 31, 2025 at 10:18 PM
Thanks to Clout Aroha for this post.
I've been reading up on the nepo baby behind the nazi protesters & yep, it's a property developer family who wants to mobilise a team of dumb thugs because they are trying to protect their wealth.
August 31, 2025 at 9:52 PM
Oh wow that is glorious.
It reminds me, last week I went to town for our big city rally for Palestine (my birthtown which is racist AF drew 50,000, not bad) but before that I went to a yarn festival at what was a bayside fishing village in the 60s when I was a tot.
Possum wool! So soft!

My book shelves have devolved into chaos worthy of a book-fest scrimmage. My childhood collection of pony stories & Trixie Beldens are stacked beside climate change, Melissa Lucashenko, my sci-fi & whodunnits, and the sanity restoring items like '50 relatives worse than yours'. (I'm on page 9)

They have their catio.
August 30, 2025 at 5:34 AM
We have to explain to house-guests that if they require toilet paper, it's in a drawer.
And if they put it on the dunny roll holder, this is where that story goes.
August 30, 2025 at 5:06 AM
Oh my.
Some days the dumbing down at the ABC is just comedic in it's idiocy.
Hands up all those who want to tell me, what do you think will happen if you hitch a wheelchair holding a 9 yr old girl with polio to a wild Welsh pony?
Anyone?

Musgrave Park in Brisbane today. Tens of thousands of people turned out to protest against the ethnic cleansing and land theft in Palestine.
I am too short to take decent crowd photos but this was too good to walk by
August 24, 2025 at 11:26 AM
My thumbs are getting a bit arthritic for that 😘
I have some beautiful earrings from Haus of Dizzy, a business owned by a Wiradjuri woman. They get a lot of love.
My plan was to make pineapple & watermelon crochet ornaments for xmas but winter lasts like 6 weeks here b4 subtropical heat resumes 🤠
August 21, 2025 at 9:02 PM
Morning @bangar.bsky.social You always appear just as I am about to sign off. I have to go feed a soggy grumpy muddy pony. How are you doing?
August 21, 2025 at 8:45 PM
I won a book stack at the Crime Writers Festival!
This story by Kooma & Kamilaroi writer, Angie Faye Martin, has me thinking 'what if' Jane Tennyson (Linda La Plante) was a Blak detective in regional Australia 40 years ago. When the Bowraville murders were being fobbed off by Australian police.
💛❤️🖤

If you are on insta, my editor (Jewish & a target of our vile media) started a charity/movement 'readers and writers against genocide'. It's big, here. Starting to take off in the UK, too. We all have tees & tote bags & walk together at protests. Money from sales goes to Palestinian charities.
August 21, 2025 at 8:19 PM
These are beautiful. I started to crochet watermelons last winter (down under, so opposite of you) & I crocheted doll's clothes (Hind Rajab memorial) for an entry in our local ag show.
August 21, 2025 at 7:37 PM
So it's raining cats and dogs here, which means, soup weather.
I finally got around to trying the red lentil, lemon & mint soup from 'Boustany' and OMG it is fabulous.
August 21, 2025 at 2:22 AM
Bendigo 🤬
So sad about Byron. Unfortunately what you call catastrophic rain is just another week at Bangalow. I'm a local & over the last 4 years, easily 1/2 of the events & club days for pony club members there have been cancelled due to the grounds being saturated. Climate catastrophe is here.

Love this.
Please add me & my pony to the posse.
August 16, 2025 at 11:23 PM
Yep.
When I brought him home from the RSPCA I told him if he didn't like the water I'd have to take him back. 😆
He jumped onto that SUP like he was born to it.
8 years now. He needed a lot of intensive care & training for the first year to recover from his early life but you'd never know it, now.

😘 You can 1/2 the ingredients & make cupcakes if excess temptation is an issue.
My 5 litre pot isn't quite big enough for when the mix bubbles up so I use my next size up which is a 10 litre soup pot.
Fudge mix must cool uncovered to room temp.
Use big eggs (organic & fresh) for a better result.
