Shit! I was doing some organizing in my camera closet and the merest accidental tap on the back of my Kodak 2D shattered the ground glass. I know it can be repaired, but this happened literally 10 minutes I just paid for the $300 CLA on the Nikon S2 rangefinder. Why, camera gods, why?

When Your Barn Door's Open.
This is a decent scan, but I can't wait to work on this photograph in the darkroom so I can make the siding look less blown out and improve the contrast.

I watched an excellent documentary about #romanvishniac and was inspired to buy this equally excellent #photobook. Amazing backstory and work. More than 14,000 negatives were stolen by the Nazi and from those he saved these are among the best. Highly recommend!

I'm not really sure why three frames from this roll had sprocket ghosts, but I like their happy-accident presence in this photograph. This won't make it into my True North solo exhibition, but it will be part of the overall project.

I also shot medium format with 2 Rolleiflexes, some 35mm film and digital with my Leicas and a 21mm wide angle with my Nikon 2D. So grateful to have great kit to choose from. HP5+ and 510 pyro.

After a bit of a hiatus, I'm back working actively on my longterm Hive Minded Missouri Beekeeper portrait project. This lovely couple near Perryville had two apiaries and I photographed in both. The work to date will be featured with a solo exhibition at U. of Mo. in Columbia this summer.
