Book #65 was Mistakes Were Made by Meryl Wilsner! I ended up loving this book more than I thought I would, and I really enjoyed all of their other books so I picked this one up when I had a coupon at the local queer bookstore. 5⭐

Book #64 was a reread of Heated Rivalry by Rachel Reid! I'm so excited for the show coming out later this month that I had to reread it! Of course, I loved this! 4.5⭐

Book #63 was Life After Cars by Sarah Goodyear and Doug Gordon. I went to their book event here in Seattle with CityNerd and it was a great talk! The book was good, even though I'm already familiar with most of the topics. 4.25⭐

Once again very behind!

Book #62: Amelia, If Only by Becky Albertalli! I actually won a signed copy of this book from a giveaway she did on instagram! This was a fun read, even if it definitely isn't a favorite of hers. 3.75⭐

October reading wrap up! 9 books in total: 6 are new to me, 3 are rereads

Book #61: Elyse Myers's book! I listened to the audiobok so I could hear her voice, and it was quite funny and fun! I'm going to her book tour event in about two weeks!

Book #60 is a reread of Anita Kelly's Love and Other Disasters! This is my first book of theirs I had read back in 2022, and one of my queer silent book club friends just started reading this after loving some of Anita's other books!

Book #59 was Slow AF Run Club by Martinus Evans. I'm in the middle of training for my first half marathon so I figured I could fit in a book about running. This was part personal story, part how-to, and while I already knew most of this (it's more for someone just starting), I learned a few things.

Book #58 was Isn't It Obvious? by Rachel Runya Katz (just released, and I went to her author event this past week!) I was looking forward to this all month and it was SO worth the wait, this book is a delight. Queer librarians, podcasts, hidden identities, oh my! I loved this so much!! 5⭐

Book #57 was Leaving the Station by Jake Maia Arow! Yes, two sapphic books involving trains in a row, hahaha. I quite enjoyed this one! 4.25⭐

Oops, I'm several books behind on this thread, so a quick-catch up is in order!

Book #56 was a reread of One Last Stop, my favorite romance book of all time! It's my third time reading it, but this is the first time since I got the collectors edition so I hadn't read the bonus chapter before!

I went to Rachel Runya Katz’s book launch event for her new book, Isn’t it Obvious? I had first met her a month ago at another book event and she signed my book the funniest way as another Rachel, so I’m so happy she did it again. I can’t wait to read this!!

Book #55: Iris Kelly Doesn't Date by Ashley Herring Blake! I really liked the other two bright falls books so I was looking forward to starting this!!
October 9, 2025 at 3:29 AM
Book #54: Here We Go Again by Alison Cochrun! Are you surprised this is what I chose as my first fiction reread this year? ...you shouldn't be. I love this book so so much. This book makes me laugh and I cried a lot at the end. 😭 There's a reason I'm obsessed with all her books

Book #53: Pucking Strong by Emily Rath! I really liked all the books in this series, and I quite enjoyed this one! It’s definitely more of a slow burn which I’m totally all for, and I really enjoyed the demi rep too. 4.25⭐️ I also went to her book launch day signing a month and a half ago!

My September reading wrap-up! 📚 I’ve read a shitload more this month and there’s been so many great books!!
September 30, 2025 at 11:18 PM
Starting with my current, #52: John Green’s The Anthropocene Reviewed. One of my favorite books (and podcasts when it was a thing), this probably shouldn’t be a surprise being a big nerdfighter and all. I’m actually listening to the audiobook this time as I ran and made bracelets today 🫶

Did i just reach my second reading goal in the same month as hitting my first (40)? Maaaaybe.

The world’s fucked and I’m sticking my head in books to drown out the horrors 😅😅
