If you need to ice your face at any point, may I recommend the jumbo bag of frozen peas? It can wrap entirely around the jaw and can be refrozen as many times as necessary. (I wouldn't advise eating the peas after.)

😲That's astonishingly expensive - I'm so sorry. (Also, two visits just to stabilize? Wow!) Lots of soup in your future, I'm guessing, or things you can use a stick blender on 😢

I'm sorry - it's incredibly stressful when pet health goes sideways. I hope the bloodwork shows something actionable and he recovers solidly.

Sometimes I think people who suggest how great it will be to sleep in don't have pets, or kids, or anxiety, or chronic pain. Honestly at this point if anyone regularly gets a ton of good sleep I'm in awe. I hope you're through the swamp soon!

I was reading X-Men and The Uncanny X-Men back then, and it'll be Unbreakable X-Men and Rogue Storm now, so he's not wrong. That said, I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed this.

Comic shop staff helped me figure out what issues will catch me up for Age of Revelation, but to follow my favorite characters I need to read two separate series from now on. "Welcome back to X-Men," he said with a shrug. "How you have to open your wallet to keep up hasn't changed."

I used to attend a critique group where everyone read their pages aloud. The group bestowed a Cryptic Note of the Night award for this exact thing.
