The Russian Federation should be abolished and sovereignty returned to individual countries, so that governments can better represent their people.

I'll say again: we are oddly selective about the government services about which we will say, they operate at a loss.

We say Amtrak and the post office "lose money" but we never say highways, the court system, the Pentagon, etc lose money
The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

they've just never had to work hard for anything, they've never had to fight for anything, they're never satisfied with their efforts, they've never had anything they wanted to fight *for*, they don't believe in anything or anyone, including themselves

John Roberts has been a GOP operative, in "institutionalist" clothing, through all of his career.

Chapter and verse, here: www.harvardmagazine.com/legal/suprem...

He was on GWBush team during the 2000 Florida recount battles.

Think: Mike Johnson, with Harvard vs LSU pedigree.

It's good—very good, and very important—that district courts keep issuing these 100-page rulings upholding the law. It must be incredibly dispiriting to see them overturned in a two-page, lawless, unsigned order, but please, keep them coming. They expose SCOTUS' corruption like nothing else.

Be a hero.
I just keep thinking there are people who know how far gone Trump is. Who know what Hegseth did. Who know what’s in the Epstein files. But in the Trump era the success rate for whistleblowers having a real impact is close to zero.

Trump Boat Bombings Suddenly on Shakier Ground as Damning Info Emerges
Will Republicans give us a real investigation into Trump’s bombings, now that we just learned horrific new details about them? Or are they seriously going to fall on their swords for Pete Hegseth?

TPUSA have been at this long enough that the default assumption of their involvement in literally anything that has to do with college campuses should be an assumption of bad faith based on a long and well-documented history of bad faith actions
Assumption of good faith is a solid heuristic.

But also "assumptions" are guesses you make before you have the evidence. You are allowed to retract good faith once more evidence arises.

But also, you shouldn't assume good faith from folks who are your avowed enemies.

This is all true but

1) under no definition are we currently at war with Venezuela under domestic US law

2) since we aren’t, the initial strike was just as much a murder as the follow up

The failure to understand this by a huge range of actors is really driving me up the wall.
If the Venezuelan sailors were enemy combatants, then the 2nd strike is a war crime.

If the Venezuelan sailors weren’t enemy combatants, then both strikes are criminal murder.

It’s that simple.
