This kid is 15, and so has a moral clarity and uprightness that no adult elected official would or could ever have. There aren't really and never have been two sides of this issue, but if it has to be argued as a binary thing I don't see how anything less than this could seem like the side to be on.

ICE pretended to arrest a 21 yo in order to force her to call her undocumented mother to come leave the house (where she was safe from ICE arrest) to care for her baby. When the mother came, she was abducted and the daughter was suddenly of no interest to ICE.

If the only legitimate style of governance within a country's democratic system is one that runs consistently counter to the popular will and desires of the people who participate in that democratic system, then it seems quite clear that said system has been captured by anti-democratic forces.
