The SEC chair claims laws like the CSRD and CSDDD require reporting on socially significant issues even if they’re not financially material. That’s not quite right - both laws hinge on materiality assessments, not blanket disclosure. on.ft.com/485W3DK

Ive seen LLMs pushed a lot to fellow #adhd students and scholarship to "help" them with things like detail work and structuring work. Ive also seen many punished for trusting this offer of help too. Here's what to use instead:

💸 New @re-set.bsky.social report shows how EP Group (€10.3bn) & Sev.en Energy (€0.95bn) have siphoned public money across Europe. While ordinary people paid sky high energy bills, coal tycoons cashed in.

So, according to some of corporate law’s finest, women miss out on top roles in corporate and finance law because they want a normal life and don’t brag hard enough (presumably in fluent LinkedInese). Who knew! I’d blame the sector’s toxic attitude towards work and what ‘good service’ means. 🙃
Corporate law firms hire mostly men for highest-paid roles
Few women are being recruited to most lucrative practice areas despite big steps forward in sector diversity

Happy to see Sam Adelman's wonderful review of my book in @journallawsociety.bsky.social, which raises key concerns about the efficacy of international environmental law - for example, the fact that the ongoing session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee to develop a treaty on plastic 1/2

With Ipsos, we surveyed people in the UK, France, Germany & Poland with questions about common recycling claims & symbols used on plastic packaging.

We asked about the impact of plastic on the environment & how recycling claims change how people feel about it.🧵

Ex-farm worker here.

We need to talk about this whole "But a living wage for farm workers would spike the cost of food!" thing.

Not true AT ALL.

Y'all don't understand how fast experienced farm workers are.

The average tomato picker pulls 650lbs per hour.

At $20/hr, that's $0.03/lb for labor.
