Basically if you like A Kite and Mezzo Forte, you will also like this, although IMO it's a step down in intensity from some of the scenes in those.

It wasn't bad.
The animation and sound is gorgeous, but the plot is exactly what you expect from an Umetsu film, and I'm not 100% the biggest fan of that.

I don't think it should be ignored, but for a 60+ year old movie franchise where the lead periodically changes appearances and doesn't get 60 years old, I think a simple acknowledgement without explanation should suffice.
