It's a Levin Sword and oddly enough it's only kinda decent on Robin in the game, Owain is probably the best at using it.

Honestly not too sure, custom firmware will at the very least have documentation and a more open interface for you to work with though so maybe you could figure it out. I mostly just run emulators and portmaster on these things and leave it at that but I know Knulli has a video and music player too.

You should try installing custom firmware, Knulli let's you do neat stuff like organize your games with scraped boxart over the internet and easily access the device over your home network so you don't have to pop out your SD card.
