I just buy the most expensive cause it's got the best odds of being the least enshittified any more. Reviews can't be trusted any more.

I will put in a plug for Linux Mint with Cinnamon. The UI out of the box feels virtually identical to Windows 7 era and is extremely easy to swap between Windows and Linux (I have to use Windows at work but use mostly Linux at home)
